Singapore Style Fried Rice Recipe

An Asian-inspired dish that brings the bold, fresh flavours of Asian cooking to the campsite. Singaporean fried rice is a super simple recipe that only requires one pot -making it ideal for cooking on a campsite.

The great thing about this dish is how versatile it is. Try mixing it up with your favourite vegetables or add different ingredients like prawns or chicken for a non-vegetarian option.

Ingredients

  • 200g cold cooked rice

  • 2 eggs (beaten)

  • ½ white onion

  • 1 carrot

  • 100g tenderstem™ broccoli

  • 150g garden peas

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tsp tamarind paste

  • Garnish
  • 2 spring onions

  • Black sesame seeds

Directions

  • Whisk the eggs together in a bowl and set them aside.
  • Add a splash of sesame oil to the pan and heat over the stove.Fried rice recipe
  • Chop the onion, carrot, broccoli, spring onion and garlic before adding them to the pan.
  • Stir the ingredients and cook for a few minutes, then add the whisked egg while continuing to stir.Fried rice camping recipe

  • Stir in the oyster sauce and tamarind paste, then cook until everything is heated through and the vegetables are cooked to your liking.
  • Serve in a bowl and garnish with black sesame seeds.
