    Frequently Asked questions

    Going to last?

With correct care, yes. Backpacker Magazine staff have used the same pack for over five years – but contact with sharp objects or abrasive surfaces can damage the fabric in a short space of time.

    Waterproof?

No. It is only water-resistant. Even though the pack is made of a waterproof material, water can enter through the seams (which are not sealed) and the zipper. A few minutes of light rain would not be a problem, but a downpour would result in the contents of the pack getting wet.

What is the difference between Ultra-Sil and Ultra-Sil Nano Day Packs?

The Ultra-Sil Day Pack is made from 30D Ultra-Sil Cordura nylon and includes adjustable shoulder straps and a daisy-chain webbing loop. It has a two-way zipper closure with a generous opening and weighs 2.5oz/72g.

The Ultra-Sil Nano Day Pack is made from 15D Ultra-Sil and packs down to the size of an egg. It weighs 1oz/30g. With an asymmetrical zipper, lightweight fabric, and slightly smaller capacity (18L vs 20L), the Nano is a great option for those that need to save on weight and space.

    You would not believe how

"You would not believe how small this folds, ideal hand luggage bag when backpacking/trekking but also have flights"

    John K. (5/5)

    Replaced my previous day pack

"This one is better but folds down into a larger cylinder. Overall I’m very happy"

    Helga E. (5/5)

    Brilliant item!

"Very useful pack. Don't worry- it DOES go back in the little bag, but you have to stuff, not roll!"

    Sarah C. (5/5)

    Extremely versatile and handy

    "Extremely versatile and handy"

    Great day pack

"Super strong pack that's light and comfortable to wear. Very pleased with purchase. This was bought to replace my Eagle Creek day pack that's no longer available and I think it's better. As with my previous pack, I use something soft (sweater, small towel) to act as a 'buffer' between the pack and my back if I'm carrying anything awkwardly shaped (water bottle, plastic lunch boxes). Ideally there'd be a little separate pouch inside for phone, keys etc (the bag the pack packs into is just a little too small) but that's not a huge deal. Would definitely recommend."

"we have bought several of these great lightweight rucsacs for ourselves and friends. Their waterproof and pack away properties make them great for taking to sporting events or holidays"

    Ruth R. (5/5)

    Compacted light and useful

"We bought a couple of these bags whilst on a Camino this year, we found them very useful when we sent our main rucksacks by baggage transfer. Since we been home found them useful when going shopping because you can just clip them to your belt to carry them until you need them. They are small and light and thought we would make ideal presents."

    David W. (5/5)

    Updated design and even better

"Great improvement to current version with its thicker shoulder straps and external hanging loops"

    Kate H. (5/5)

    Good light duty bag

"Great packability, but not super impressed with the product overall. First the bag is very translucent and I wasn't expecting that. Seems sturdy enough for a light gym bag, but not good for any real activity with moderate movement as the straps don't keep the pack securely in place. Beat myself up pretty bad jogging down a mountain with a water bottle and a rain jacket being the only content of the bag. If you're just using it for around town walking or light biking this pack will probably work fine (groceries, rain gear, etc...). The carabiner is convenient for carrying the packed down version of this product. As for weight, it feels like nothing on your back, so I can see some scenarios where this pack might come in handy."

    Big improvement over the nano

"This is the perfect size for daily city walks"
